Aida won the Dobell Prize in 2003 for her stunning work Negru IV and judged the final Dobell Prize in 2012. She is an incredibly deep thinker about material, layering and composition. Her works encourage slow, close observation. It’s only then that you appreciate the complexity of her stroke and line and the subtlety of her palette.
